As a Board-Certified orthodontist, Karen E. DeSimone is a diplomate of The American Board of Orthodontics. Dr. DeSimone graduated from Brown University with degrees in Biology and Theater. She earned her Doctorate in Dental Surgery with Honors from Georgetown University and her Post Doctorate Degree in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics from Howard University. She is the recipient of The DeRisi Award for outstanding achievement in academic and clinical skills. In addition to private practice, Dr. DeSimone is a clinical instructor in the Post Doctoral Orthodontic Residency at Albert Einstein Medical Center in Philadelphia. Her research was published in The American Journal of Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. DeSimone‘s lectures about improved diagnostic and treatment modalities have been well-received by the dental community. She is also affiliated with professional organizations including The American Association of Orthdontists, Middle Atlantic Association of Orthodontists, New Jersey Association of Orthodontists, American Dental Association, and Mercer County Dental Association.
